Blackshear Mission
The Mission of Blackshear Elementary is to instill a GROWTH Mindset among all staff members and students, so that all students are encouraged and empowered to achieve their goals.
Goals
- Ensure all students meet their MAP RIT reading and math goals
- Ensure 40% of our students in 3rd – 5th meet or exceed STAAR progress measure
- Increase student attendance to 95% in 2024-25
- Ensure 40% of our kindergartners meet the kinder readiness test
- School Connectedness: Students believe that adults and peers care about their learning and about them, as measured by Panorama survey goal of 70%
